Black Holes is a progressive hard-rock band which was born in 2011 in Ravenna.
Our first album, Come To Play, was published in 2013 and was highly influenced by hard rock icons such as Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin. It was produced by Gateano Pellino and was recorded at his studios.
After 2013 there was a “composing” stop of almost 5 years due to a project that was parallel, as a Pink Floyd tribute band.
In those 5 years tributing we developed a completely different style and we grew up, technically and mentally.
In 2018 we started to compose new material for the album that was just recorded and that we are submitting, called “Ess”. We have tried to reach our proper style with our sound by merging all the influences that we got in the past years. Surely we were influenced by Pink Floyd style, but we tried to make something different by adding Rush, Marillion, Toto, King Crimson and Genesis style’s. The album was recorded at Studio 73, in Ravenna, produced by Riccardo Pasini for his first experience in this music style.
